Gary seems to be doing really good! He is in good spirits and his skin looks great. I noticed this morning that his tummy seems to be going down. It is less bloated. The muscle weakness is of course still there but like I have said in previous enteries I am so excited to start him on physical therapy. I can't wait for the doctors to give us the go ahead. I am going to check to see if they have massage therapy for toddlers the doctors could recommend. I don't even know if that is possible but it could provide some pain relief. Then again, he doesn't like anyone to touch him. Last night I was teaching Gary to howl like a wolf. He has a hairy forehead right now from the steroids. Steroids cause usual hair growth. He is my little werewolf :).

  1. you are amazing. Keep being a great mom and keep your spirits up and you will find the joy in all the trials.

  2. Physical therapy will help, but more than anything it is play therapy at this age. We did it for about 3 sessions until they taught us enough to do at home and we saw what they were doing. I have thought about a massage therapist also, but they told me it was like your body being one big bruise. I decided that might be to painful and feel worse not better. We spend lots of time in a sit down belly button deep warm bath tub. At first even 3 or 4 times a day. It relieves the legs, hip, and lower back. Plus it is easier to move in the water. We are praying for you daily. Both of my girls pray for Gary during bedtime prayers. I know that he will continue to get better and that you will get the peace that you need! Hang in there! This is your mission field.

    Praying for your family!
