Well it is that time of year again.  The icky ol sun is back to reek havoc in our lives again.  I sorta wish I wasn't a sun worshiper but I am.  It would make things easier if I weren't.  Big brother had baseball practice this morning.  We covered up hat, sunglasses, ect,.  After about an hour in the early morning sun Gary's fingers began to swell. Then his lips.   We had to abandon practice to get to him safely indoors.  Things will be ok. We just have to find a way to make it so he can be outside.  He can it just is a risk.

  1. I know EXACTLY what you mean girly! I love the sun....and my name is SUMMMER LOL....but if I am out in it more that 30 minutes I look like I've been scalded with water and burning and my eyes swell almost shut....It's awful! I have learned to cover up lots like ya'll do and where spf 70 and try to stay in shady areas....but it is so hard to do when ya want to be outside and have fun!

Gary is a doll....I will pray for yall and hope that this will be a good and uneventful summer :0)

Does he break out under Floresent lights to? I do! I have to wear sunscreen to walmart...if i don't I will look like I've been scaled and my eyes will swell....

Hope ya'll have a good weekend
    Hang in there
I'm here for ya if you ever need to talk or vent....

  2. I am right there with you Erika! Kaysa has started back to soccer and we have to avoid the sun. However sunblock is just part of our morning routine year round! Long sleeves, pants and an awesome sun hat daily. Kya won't even condsider going outside without all of that. We have just told her if she does it will make her sick again! She doesn't want to go through everything again so she is adamant about being covered head to toe! Lucky us!!!

I wish that it wasn't that bad, but the sun is brutal here. Looks like we are going to be sunny and in the 80's all this week here! Luckily she is young enough to just accept that is how it is and she just goes on. I dread the day she decides that it isn't the "cool" thing to do!

I will be praying for you guys. I thought about Gary Saturday in our 40 mph winds! Not a good day to fly kites, but there was definitely wind! Hang in there mama tiger!
